Dr. A.P.J. Abdul Kalam was known as the Missile Man of India for his important role in the nation's civilian space program and military missile development. Also, in 1998, he made significant contributions to India's Pokhran-II nuclear tests. With these big achievements and titles, one could have said that Dr. A.P.J Abdul kalam was a very serious man but in reality, he was most joyous around kids. Whenever I think of him I remember his response to a little girl when asked how did he become so great? He said you must have a dream and work relentlessly towards it and you must constantly acquire knowledge. And that's how you will become better than your previous self.

His childhood wasn't easy. He has seen the poverty and worked from an early age to support his family and bring food to the table. And to say he was an average student in school is quite accurate though he was bright and had a strong desire to learn. He was always keen to know more about things and he always showed interest in mathematics. He didn't try to be the rank holder in his batch but he made sure that he is learning every day.

"Education gives you wings to fly. Achievement comes out of the fire in our subconscious mind that ‘I will win."

Even after completing and mastering his knowledge, he wasn't aiming to make money out of it. Rather he was more interested in creating something. From there, he got into DRDO and started his career by designing a small hovercraft. After his visit to NASA, he started developing an interest in ISRO and got posted there. You see he was always on the go to learn, create, evolve. He was always trying to be the better version of himself from yesterday and that's the process to become so great. All you need is the dream or one set goal that makes you thrive and be in the loop every day. The passion to hold your dream and lock your vision is the key to become so great.

His vision was to transform our country into a developed nation using 5 major pillar-like competence, natural resources, and talented manpower for integrated action to double the growth rate of GDP and realize the Vision of Developed India. He believed a change in the nation can be welcomed when a youth's mind is structured and open with more ideas and they are acquiring knowledge every day. Learning and evolving each day is one step towards getting a better future. He wanted the youth to participate in the betterment of the country and wanted the youth of the country to be active participants. And I agree with him as well, getting the youth educated and knowledgeable is like getting the foundation of your building strong. once the foundations are set you can start building.

Thinking of Dr. A.P.J. Abdul Kalam I would say that his vision of educated youth is there and we are getting to the stage where every individual is trying to learn every day. If not then start doing that because you are the foundation of a developed nation. He also used to say that three people can bring a real change in society student, mother, teacher and he was among them.

In the end, I would just say this Have A Vision, Be humble, even if you are the head of the nation. Follow the saying of Dr. A.P.J Abdul Kalam and start your journey of becoming so great.
